About Shacklewell Families

Shacklewell Families is the parents & guardians association of Shacklewell School. We raise money for the school and strengthen our school community by organising fun social events such as the Christmas Fair, Summer Fair, Halloween Fright Night, Cake Sales plus other events thoughout the year.

Every parent, carer and guardian is automatically a member of Shacklewell Families. We meet at least once every half term and everyone is welcome at the meetings.

Why raise money for the school?

The school receives funding in order for day-to-day running and to purchase essential items and equipment. But the nice extras that your children enjoy, like low-cost tickets to the Panto at Christmas, additional iPads in the classrooms, outdoor games and wet play boxes, are only possible thanks to money raised by parents.

We need your help!

Shacklewell Families runs on volunteer power! Everything we do depends on our many volunteers generously giving us their time and expertise to make it happen. Volunteer parents & families help in a myriad of ways – baking cakes, running events, making posters, putting up decorations, attending and voting at meetings, sweeping up after events, donating or lending equipment…

Whatever your skillset is, we have a job perfect for you!

So please volunteer to lend a hand – even 20 minutes of your time can make a big difference.
